Softball Recap: Conrad Weiser Takes a Loss

Conrad Weiser came into this matchup off a tough 12-run loss last Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Fleetwood Tigers by a score of 13-11 on Wednesday. The Scouts were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2019.

Alex Trevena made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. Trevena is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Breanna Oliviero, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

This is the second loss in a row for Conrad Weiser and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Fleetwood, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Conrad Weiser will host Twin Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fleetwood, they will be playing at home against Governor Mifflin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
