Soccer Recap: Oxnard vs. Santa Paula
Oxnard unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Santa Paula Cardinals on Wednesday. The Yellowjackets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.

The win made it two in a row for Santa Paula and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oxnard will host Moorpark at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Santa Paula, they will be playing at home against Garey at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
