It was a good run, but Ballston Spa unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 62-52 to the Columbia Blue Devils. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Scotties came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 412th).

Ballston Spa's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Columbia, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-4 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ballston Spa will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Shaker at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Columbia also won't see the court for a while: their next match is against Saratoga Springs at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
