Basketball Recap: Lone Peak Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Lone Peak had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They secured a 46-42 W over the Copper Hills Grizzlies on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Grizzlies back in January, they had to take a 55-40 loss.

Lone Peak got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kennedy Woolston out in front who posted nine points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. Woolston has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatiana Harness, who scored 13 points and three steals.

Lone Peak was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They are 18-4 when they've passed the ball that well.

Lone Peak is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points over those games. With the defeat, Copper Hills broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 21-6.

As of now, neither Lone Peak nor Copper Hills have any future games scheduled.
