Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Desert Sunrise). They put the hurt on the Coronado Dons with a sharp 72-51 win on Friday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Golden Hawks with their most commanding win of the season.

Ky'Jaun Mccutcheon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 30 points. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Desert Sunrise's points. Another player making a difference was Ladamian Jackson, who posted ten points.

Desert Sunrise's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-15. As for Coronado, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Desert Sunrise will host Yuma at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Yuma is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.7 points per game this season. As for Coronado, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Cortez at 7:00 p.m.
