Softball Recap: Carlisle Beats Marion for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Carlisle entered their tilt with Marion on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Patriots.

Carlisle let Ally Mooney and Kiersten Taylor run wild. Mooney went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while Taylor scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-1. What's more, Taylor posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. MaKinnley Cook also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Carlisle's record now sits at 10-7. As for Marion, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.

Coming up, Carlisle will face off against Russellville at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Marion, they will take on Pelham at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
