Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Hillgrove

Hillgrove waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the North Cobb Christian Eagles. The Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Hillgrove was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (103-96), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-20, 11-25, 18-25, 15-8.

Sierra Forbes paced Hillgrove's offense, picking up 12 kills. Forbes got some help from Josalyn Bettis and her 11 assists. Forbes was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Hillgrove's victory bumped their record up to 16-17. As for North Cobb Christian, they dropped their record down to 17-15 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

As of now, neither Hillgrove nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
