Basketball Recap: Westlake Extends Winning Streak to Two

North Ridgeville came into Saturday's contest looking for another win against Westlake, but Ryan Turk wouldn't allow it. The Westlake Demons walked away with a 72-64 win over the North Ridgeville Rangers on Saturday thanks in part to Turk, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Westlake and bumps their season record up to 4-2. As for North Ridgeville, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westlake and John Marshall will round out the year against one another at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Westlake is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63 points per game this season. As for North Ridgeville, they will face off against Brunswick at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. North Ridgeville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Brunswick likes a good challenge.
