Volleyball Recap: Wednesday's Loss Ends North Davidson's Winning Streak

After a string of four wins, North Davidson's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oak Grove Grizzlies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Grizzlies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

While North Davidson ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-21, 24-26, 25-20.

When it comes to explaining why North Davidson lost, don't look at Riley Prevette. Despite the final result, she had three digs and three aces. Gentry Grae Smith also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

North Davidson's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Oak Grove, they pushed their record up to 19-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

North Davidson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oak Grove, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Glenn at 5:00 p.m.
