Cedar Creek was sadly handed a defeat on Monday, but Matt Vanaman did his best to prevent it. Vanaman wasn't messing around, striking out seven batters over 6.2 innings while giving up five earned runs off five hits. The pitching appearance was his fourth straight with two or fewer walks.
