Basketball Recap: Houston Gets the Win

With a playoff win on the line, Houston rose to the challenge on Thursday. They came out on top against the Lanesboro Burros by a score of 51-40. The Hurricanes haven't had any issues with the Burros recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Houston had a senior duo take command as Morgan Rohweder dropped a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds and Carter Geiwitz dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards. Rohweder has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 14 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Maddox Rodriguez, who posted nine points.

Houston smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Houston's record now sits at 19-8. As for Lanesboro, they dropped their record down to 13-15 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

As of now, neither Houston nor Lanesboro have any future games scheduled.
