Softball Recap: San Marcos Takes a Loss

San Marcos lost against Oxnard last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Royals fell 5-2 to the Yellowjackets. The Royals' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

San Marcos saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Solana Sandoval, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

San Marcos' defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Oxnard, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-4-1.

Looking ahead, San Marcos will challenge Saugus at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Centurions will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Royals surely won't give up without a fight. As for Oxnard, they will be playing at home against Buena at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Yellowjackets are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
