Football Recap: Lakeview Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Lakeview played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Saugatuck Trailblazers and fell 40-6. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Trailblazers: they've now lost four in a row.

Ayden Boyd threw for 62 yards on three of seven attempts.

Max Page was nothing short of spectacular for Saugatuck: he rushed for 143 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Page was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 50 yards. Will Soule helped out on the ground, rushing for 91 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Lakeview's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Saugatuck, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Lakeview has already played their next contest, a 46-6 defeat against Central Montcalm on the 12th. As for Saugatuck, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-18 victory against Brandywine on the 12th.
