Stone extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Payton Gonzalez. The Tomcats walked away with a 2-0 win over the Perry Central Bulldogs on Saturday for which the team can thank Gonzalez, who had five aces and four digs. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Stone's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Perry Central, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Stone didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against East Marion on the 23rd. As for Perry Central, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Moss Point on the 23rd.
