Soccer Game Preview: New Trier vs. St. Charles North

The New Trier Trevians will take on the St. Charles North North Stars in a tournament on Thursday. New Trier will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

New Trier headed into their last contest having not scored more than one goal for four straight, but Glenbrook South let them put that streak behind them. The Trevians never let the Titans get on the board and left with a 4-0 win on Tuesday. Give New Trier's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Meanwhile, St. Charles North hasn't lost a match since April 12th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They and St. Charles East finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

New Trier's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-0-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those five matchups. With that draw, St. Charles North's record moves to 5-4-3.
