Softball Recap: Sidney Team vs. Greene Trojans
After flying high against Harpursville on Monday, Sidney came back down to earth. The Team came up short against the Greene Trojans on Thursday, falling 20-13. The Team were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Bella West and Kate Young did some serious damage despite the final result: West went a perfect 5-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI, while Young's went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. West is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Sam Constable, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Sidney now has a losing record of 1-2.
Sidney will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Unatego at 4:30 p.m. on the 29th. As for Greene, they will head out on the road to challenge Afton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
