Baseball Recap: Design Tech Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Design Tech had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They never let the Summit Tahoma Tigers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-0 on Tuesday.

Reilly Sutton and Camren Tom made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Sutton tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Tom tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February. At bat, Sutton went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and two RBI, while Tom got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Tom is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Logan Garrett, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Aidan Tom, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Design Tech was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Design Tech now has a winning record of 6-5-1. As for Summit Tahoma, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coincidentally, Design Tech and Summit Tahoma will both be playing North Valley Baptist the next time they take the field. The Tigers will host the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Dragons will host them at 4:00 p.m. on the 14th.
