Volleyball Recap: Pen Argyl Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Pen Argyl came into Saturday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the East Stroudsburg North Timberwolves 3-0 on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Pen Argyl never let East Stroudsburg North on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-11, 28-26.

Ashlyn Oessenick paced Pen Argyl's offense, picking up 20 kills. Oessenick got some help from Jasmine Holland and her 26 assists. Holland was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Pen Argyl's victory bumped their record up to 9-12. As for East Stroudsburg North, their loss dropped their record down to 0-14.

Looking ahead, Pen Argyl will square off against Lehigh Valley Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Stroudsburg North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
