Basketball Recap: Hannan Takes a Loss

After soaring to 84 points the game before, Hannan was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 91-27 loss at the hands of the Parkersburg Catholic Crusaders. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Eli Cade, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Taylor, who scored seven points.

It was another big night for Preston Randolph, who went 10-for-13 to rack up 21 points and six steals for Parkersburg Catholic. Randolph has become a key player for Parkersburg Catholic: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least five steals, but 4-14 otherwise. Ethan Williams also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Hannan's record now sits at 5-17. As for Parkersburg Catholic, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-15.

Hannan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 107-64 defeat against Tolsia on the 4th. As for Parkersburg Catholic, they have also already played their next contest, a 60-40 victory against Notre Dame on the 7th.
