Rivera won the last time they faced Lyford and things went their way on Thursday too. The Raiders walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bulldogs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Rivera took both sets by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-15.

Rivera's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Lyford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Rivera will face off against Hidalgo Early College at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Lyford, they will be taking part in a tournament against Laredo LBJ at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
