Baseball Recap: Brockport Comes Up Short

Brockport scored first but ultimately less than Greece Athena in their match on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Monday.

Dan Dailey made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Brockport and nudges their season record down to 10-7. As for Greece Athena, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

Brockport wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-3 victory against Batavia on the 16th. As for Greece Athena, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-5 win against Honeoye Falls-Lima on the 16th.
