Basketball Recap: Emily West Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat South Davidson

Asheboro Hybrid Academy won the last time they faced South Davidson and things went their way on Monday too. The Asheboro Hybrid Academy Warriors walked away with a 47-35 victory over the South Davidson Wildcats.

Asheboro Hybrid Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emily West, who posted 14 points in addition to six boards and five assists. What's more, West also racked up five blocks, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Ellie Hall was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

Asheboro Hybrid Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.5 points per game. As for South Davidson, they dropped their record down to 4-15 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Asheboro Hybrid Academy has already played their next contest (against Triad Baptist Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. South Davidson will take on Chatham Central at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
