Berlin is a perfect 10-0 against Platt since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Redcoats will welcome the Panthers at 3:45 p.m. Berlin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
Berlin came out on top against East Catholic on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run third inning. The Redcoats took their game against the Eagles 11-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Redcoats.

Callie Jehning spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered seven earned runs on ten hits and racked up 15 Ks. Those 15 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, Izzy Andersen was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Alexis Walters, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Platt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 22-7 to South Windsor.
Madisyn Konopka made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Angie Saintago Valle, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run and one double.
Berlin's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Platt, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
Platt's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Berlin has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Platt, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.3 strikeouts. Will Berlin keep running through batters, or will the Panthers buck the trend?
Everything went Berlin's way against Platt in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, as Berlin made off with a 13-0 victory. Will the Redcoats repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
