Baseball Game Preview: Findlay Trojans vs. Bowling Green Bobcats

Findlay hasn't had much luck against Bowling Green recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Trojans will challenge the Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. Findlay will be strutting in after a win while Bowling Green will be coming in after a defeat.

Findlay came out on top against Whitmer on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Trojans took their contest against the Panthers 6-3. The victory was nothing new for the Trojans as they're now sitting on three straight.

Meanwhile, Bowling Green fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Defiance on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 8-6.

Bowling Green saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Earl, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Kasey Dean also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Bowling Green has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Findlay, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Findlay came out on top in a nail-biter against Bowling Green in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
