Softball Recap: Christian Academy's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Christian Academy came tearing into Monday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Southwestern Rebels. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly three runs.

Natalie McKain was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jolynn Lawyer, who went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Christian Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Southwestern, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Christian Academy will venture away from home to square off against Borden at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southwestern, they will welcome Milan at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
