Basketball Recap: Pahranagat Valley's Run of Nine Straight Victories Now Over

After flying high against Beaver Dam last Saturday, Pahranagat Valley came back down to earth. The Pahranagat Valley Panthers were dealt a 73-35 loss at the hands of the Lincoln County Lynx on Tuesday. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-17.

Leading Lincoln County to victory were Kalen Bart and Rowdy Lloyd. Bart dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds, while Lloyd went 8 for 20 en route to 21 points and six boards. The contest was Lloyd's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Karson Mathews, who posted five points and five boards.

Pahranagat Valley moved to 12-8 with that defeat, which also ended their nine-game winning streak. As for Lincoln County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Pahranagat Valley will be playing at home against Sandy Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lincoln County, they will head out on the road to face off against Lake Mead Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
