Basketball Recap: Bear Creek Comes Up Short

Bear Creek has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They came up short against the Annie Wright Gators on Saturday, falling 62-38. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Gators are ranked seventh).

When it comes to explaining why Bear Creek lost, don't look at Max Beiber. Despite the final result, he posted 17 points. Beiber's evening made it 13 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points.

Bear Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Annie Wright, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-2.

Coming up, Bear Creek will host Chelan at 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Chelan will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Bear Creek surely won't give up without a fight. Annie Wright does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
