Softball Recap: Ellet Comes Up Short

Ellet lost against Green back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Orangemen took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Ellet's loss dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Green, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-4.

Ellet and Green should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Orangemen (ranked 159th) will meet Firestone (ranked 663rd) at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Ellet's favor as the team sits on eight straight wins at home while the Falcons have been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road. Meanwhile, Green will challenge Hoover at 5:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (13 vs. 73). The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 3.2, the Vikings 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
