If Claiborne wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Cherokee, they should've done a better job of containing Addie Lawson. The Cherokee Chiefs managed a 51-45 victory over the Claiborne Bulldogs on Friday thanks to Lawson, who dropped a double-double with 28 points and ten boards. That's the most rebounds she has posted since back in December of 2024.

Cherokee's win bumped their record up to 8-21. As for Claiborne, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-19.

Coming up, Cherokee won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Greeneville at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Claiborne does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
