Gretna East not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 25th (when they won 3-0). They blew past the Crete Cardinals 3-0. The victory was some much needed relief for the Griffins as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

Gretna East was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-17, 25-21.

Avery Kelsay paced Gretna East's offense, picking up nine kills. Kelsay got some help from Maci Falcone and her 23 assists. Elayne Graver controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Brynlee Ziemann and Charlee O'Bannon certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Ziemann had seven digs and six assists, while O'Bannon had five kills and five digs.

Gretna East's record is now 11-19. As for Crete, they dropped their record down to 8-22 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Gretna East will host Standing Bear at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crete, they are taking a road trip to challenge Malcolm on Thursday.
