Middlesex had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took down Holy Child 55-36 on Saturday.
Despite the loss, Holy Child saw an underclassman step up: Skye Guerrino scored 11 points. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her. Sophia Concepcion was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Middlesex's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Holy Child, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
Middlesex does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Holy Child will take on Winsor in a holiday battle at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday at.
