Fort LeBoeuf is a perfect 5-0 against Girard since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bison will head out to face off against the Yellowjackets at 4:00 p.m. Fort LeBoeuf hasn't scored more than two runs for four games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

McDowell hit Fort LeBoeuf with a seven-run first inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bison came up short against the Trojans, falling 11-1. That's two games in a row now that the Bison have lost by exactly ten runs.

Conneaut Area hit Girard with a four-run seventh inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Yellowjackets fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 7-5. The defeat continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Zak Balogh put in work no matter where he played. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Balogh was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Balogh wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Sam Schepers, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double was Schepers' first of the season.

Fort LeBoeuf's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Girard, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.

Fort LeBoeuf skirted past Girard 7-6 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bison since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
