Football Game Preview: Hidden Valley Mustangs vs. Mazama Vikings

Hidden Valley hasn't had much luck against Mazama recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mustangs will head out to challenge the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Hidden Valley's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Henley on Friday. They were dealt a 47-0 defeat at the hands of the Hornets. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon football rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Hornets are ranked 30th).

Meanwhile, Mazama played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Marshfield and fell 49-6. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-6.

Mazama's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Hidden Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Hidden Valley was taken down by Mazama 34-7 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Mustangs, Kristopher Baldwin (who rushed for 242 yards and three TDs while picking up 8.3 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time.
