Softball Recap: Fort Loramie Gets the Win

Fort Loramie lost to Anna back in April, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Redskins came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rockets, sneaking past 13-12. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Redskins.

Kendall Tennery was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Mya Salisbury and Macy Schafer did most of the damage at the plate: Salisbury went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI, while Schafer went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave Salisbury a new career-high.

Fort Loramie kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Fort Loramie's record now sits at 10-11. As for Anna, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-8.

Fort Loramie has already played their next game, a 12-4 loss against New Bremen on the 9th. Anna has also already played their next matchup (against Botkins), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
