Softball Game Preview: Cole Cougars vs. Poteet Aggies

For the first time this season, Cole will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Friday. They will be playing at home against the Poteet Aggies at 6:00 p.m. Neither Cole nor Poteet posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

On Tuesday, Cole and Saint Mary's Hall finished up their game with a 0-0 draw. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Cougars were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Poteet lost 17-2 to Marion on Tuesday. The Aggies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cole's draw makes their record 3-9-1 this season. As for Poteet, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Cole was able to grind out a solid victory over Poteet when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 7-4. Will Cole repeat their success, or does Poteet have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
