The Futures Knights will square off against the Forest Lake Christian Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Futures has four straight victories, Forest Lake Christian has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Futures' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daniel Kozlov, who went 10 of 25 en route to 26 points along with seven boards and three steals. Kozlov's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthoni Moore, who went 9 of 17 on his way to 22 points along with five boards and four steals.
Futures smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 14 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Forest Lake Christian came up short against Encina on Friday and fell 83-70. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (56), the Falcons still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Forest Lake Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brendan Hooper almost dropped a double-double on 40 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hooper has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Fenton, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds.
Futures pushed their record up to 8-7 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.4 points per game. As for Forest Lake Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Futures has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 39.4 boards per game. However, it's not like Forest Lake Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 38.3 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything came up roses for Futures against Forest Lake Christian when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the squad secured an 80-40 win. Will Futures repeat their success, or does Forest Lake Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
