Football Recap: Buford Wolves vs. Lowndes Vikings
Buford had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They breezed by the Lowndes Vikings to the tune of 42-7 on Friday. Considering the Wolves have won nine games by more than 24 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Justin Baker was his usual excellent self, rushing for 105 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Jordan Allen did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 91 receiving yards.
Buford was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 252 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 151 rushing yards in seven consecutive contests.
Buford's record now sits at 11-1. As for Lowndes, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-2.
Buford wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 43-7 win against North Gwinnett on the 29th. Lowndes does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
