Recap: Central Heights Vikings vs. Olpe Eagles
The Central Heights Vikings fell victim to the Olpe Eagles''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Eagles at home and fell 28-0. Central Heights has struggled against Olpe recently, as their match on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Brody Roullett threw for 30 yards on four of 12 attempts. Reed Compton was his top target, picking up 31 receiving yards and no touchdowns. On the ground, Brycean Velez rushed for 81 yards.
Central Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Olpe, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.
Central Heights will head out on the road to face off against Erie at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kansas (Erie is ranked 196th, while Central Heights is ranked 186th). As for Olpe, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Northeast at 6:00 p.m.
