Football Game Preview: Schuyler Warriors vs. Scotus Shamrocks

Schuyler hasn't had much luck against Scotus recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Shamrocks at 7:00 p.m. Schuyler has given up an average of 58.8 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Schuyler is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Lakeview on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Warriors were outmatched by the Vikings and fell 69-8. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Vikings are ranked tenth).

Meanwhile, Scotus lost to Pierce at home by a 28-13 margin on Friday. The matchup marked the Shamrocks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Although Scotus took the loss, they still got scores from Evan Cameron and Eli Maguire.

Schuyler's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Scotus, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Schuyler took a serious blow against Scotus when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 56-0. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
