Burney has gone a perfect 3-0 against CORE Butte recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Raiders will face off against the Lynx at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Burney has four straight victories, CORE Butte has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Burney is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Fall River on Tuesday as they made off with a 21-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Mia Perez and Alexis Witzel made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Perez tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Witzel pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Perez has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. At bat, Perez went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base, while Witzel got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Witzel a new career-high.

In other batting news, Natalia Maldonado was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, two RBI, and one double. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Emily Aubuchon was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
Burney always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .575. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, CORE Butte came up short against Chester on Tuesday and fell 6-1.
Burney's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for CORE Butte, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.
Everything went Burney's way against CORE Butte in their previous meeting last Tuesday, as Burney made off with an 11-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
