Baseball Recap: Bucksport Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Bucksport won against Searsport on Friday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Golden Bucks blew past the George Stevens Academy Eagles 12-2. With that win, the Golden Bucks brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Nick Clair, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Terrill, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Bucksport always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Bucksport, bringing their record up to 4-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for George Stevens Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
