Softball Recap: Random Lake Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Random Lake entered their tilt with Cedar Grove-Belgium on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Rockets get on the board and left with a 14-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Rams, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ava Daggett made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Laila Sanders was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Chloe Thill, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Random Lake's record now sits at 13-3. As for Cedar Grove-Belgium, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Random Lake will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rockets: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
