Basketball Recap: Burroughs Skates Past Lutheran North with Ease

Burroughs waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Lutheran North Crusaders 67-30. The match marked the Bombers' most dominant victory of the season.

Burroughs was led to victory by Moriyah Douglass and Breaunna Ward. Douglass almost dropped a double-double with 25 points and nine rebounds, while Ward dropped a double-double with 19 points and 12 boards. Ward's big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Lauren Lanton, who posted 11 points and four steals.

Burroughs pushed their record up to 14-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points over those games. As for Lutheran North, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Burroughs nor Lutheran North have any future games scheduled.
