Mendon Unity gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Quincy Notre Dame Raiders by a score of 2-0. The Mustangs were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Raiders, so the Mustangs were just returning the favor.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-23.

Mendon Unity has already played their next contest (against Barry Western), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Quincy Notre Dame, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Hamilton/Warsaw on the 28th.
