Madison Highland Prep took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-14, 29-27.

Meanwhile, BASIS Phoenix posted their closest victory since March 27th on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Scottsdale Christian Academy 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Firebirds.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was BASIS Phoenix who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 31-29, 21-25, 25-21, 21-25, 15-11.

BASIS Phoenix now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Madison Highland Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.
