Softball Recap: South St. Paul Packers vs. Two Rivers Warriors

There's no place like home for South St. Paul, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They never let the Two Rivers Warriors onto the board and left with an 8-0 win on Thursday. That eight run margin sets a new team best for South St. Paul this season.

Not much got past Mallory Brandecker, who gave up just ten hits to keep Two Rivers off the board. Brandecker has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Grier Stadler was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Pederson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

South St. Paul's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Two Rivers, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

South St. Paul will be playing at home against Hill-Murray at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Two Rivers will take on Tartan at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
