Sunray won the last time they faced Highland Park and things went their way on Friday too. The Bobcats' pitchers stepped up to hand the Hornets an 18-0 shutout. Considering the Bobcats have won five games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Azriel Vargas, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Vargas wasn't the only one making solid contact: Sunray kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.

Sunray's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Highland Park, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Sunray will head out to face off against Non Varsity Opponent at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Highland Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
