Football Recap: Wahpeton Takes a Loss

Wahpeton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Red River Roughriders, falling 55-26. If the Huskies were looking for revenge after losing 35-22 to the Roughriders when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wahpeton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Red River, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Wahpeton is set to challenge their familiar foe Kindred at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Red River will square off against rival Fargo South on Friday.
