Volleyball Recap: Ava Kaiser Key Part of Team Effort in Panthers Win

Great Bend not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 3, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They blew past the Junction City Bluejays 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Bluejays: they've now won five in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Great Bend was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-13, 25-13.

Great Bend's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ava Kaiser led the charge by getting eight digs and three aces. That's the most aces Kaiser has posted over her last five contests. Micah Ellegood also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Great Bend's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Junction City, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Great Bend will head out on the road to take on Goddard at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Junction City, they will be playing at home against Manhattan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
