Volleyball Recap: City View Takes a Loss

City View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Alvord Bulldogs. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

While City View ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 20-25, 25-19, 25-21.

City View's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Alvord, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. City View will square off against Petrolia at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Alvord, they will challenge Collinsville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
